Last Day In MTC! Søster Schneck Week 6

hei hei!!
today is my LAST day at the MTC!! How insane is that?!
I am so excited and anxious to get out into the field and start, but am so sad to leave the MTC. My time here has allowed me to grow in so many ways, but especially grow closer to my Savior Jesus Christ, and I will forever be grateful for that! It will be so sad to leave my little Norwegian Family for a while, but I can't wait for the day where we all see each other in NORWAY!!

This week has been so good, but honestly such a blur. We have been speaking Norwegian NONSTOP for the past 7 days and it has been so fun but also so exhausting. My Norwegian skills are definitely improving, but I still have a LONG way to go. This week we have been working so hard, but apparently not hard enough because Brother Høgset put us in "TIMEOUT" TWO times this week! I am 19 years old and do not need a 23 year old putting me in time out, it was very humbling to say the least. Here are some last words of wisdom from Brother Høgset:
"it's not that hard"
"everyone cries in the middle of the night... just a little"
"NEVER post on facebook. no one cares and everyone will judge you"
"I'm not going to sugar coat it, in fact, i'll even add salt to it"
All jokes aside, I am truly grateful for the tough love that Brother Høgset has shown us, it has pushed me to work harder and be better! I can honestly say I was blessed with some of the BEST teachers to help me learn Norwegian and increase my knowledge of the Gospel. I love them!!

Some highlights from the week!:
- I had to go to a doctor's appointment and got to go into the REAL WORLD! it was WAY more exciting than it should have been HAHAH
- We had an "exam" testing the different principles of the Gospel in Norwegian and your girl got 23/25!! and got a "Bra Jobba" from Brother Høgset, which means "Good Job" I have never been happier in my life AHAH
-we played a game of volleyball as a district!
- We sang "A Child's Prayer" in Norwegian as a District for our last Sunday and it was so special
- we played pingpong for 45 minutes with Brother Høgset during class lol
- My dad writes me daily emails in Norwegian and this week I COULD UNDERSTAND EVERYONE!! That was a huge blessing!
- elder wardle told us his whole plan to convert someone to be a "Star Wars" fan

As my time at the MTC is coming to and end, I have really been reflecting on this experience and what a blessing it has been in my life. It wasn't always easy, it was actually far from it, but I have grown and learned so much about myself and about my Savior and how to rely on Him. The people I have met and the life long connections I have made will always have a special place in my heart. My time here has taught me to live in the moment and to be grateful for the little things in life. I would not change this experience or the knowledge I have gained for anything!

One of my favorite scriptures is from the Book of Mormon and it reads:
"and I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as a witness hereafter, and that ye may know for a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions" Mosiah 24:14
I know without a doubt in my mind that our Savior visits us and comforts us in our times of need. I have seen His hand in my life in so many ways and I would not trade that for anything. He descended below all things so that we could rise above our trials holding His hand. I love this Gospel and I love my Savior Jesus Christ!

I love you all so much!!
