The Twilight Zone: Søster Schneck Week 4

Hello everyone!!

I have officially been a Missionary for ONE MONTH!! How crazy is that?! I feel like I am living in a "twilight zone" episode because I have been living the EXACT SAME DAY for the past 3 weeks here at the MTC. it's safe to say that my whole district has gone INSANE, but we love it! 

This week had so many ups and downs, but was overall pretty good! 
Like I have described in my past emails, I have been STRUGGLING with learning Norwegian, but this week I have really turned to my Savior and have felt so much peace. I am still really struggling, but I have come to realize that my effort is enough for the Lord! 

Highlights of the weeks:
- Brother Høgset stopped giving us tests during tutoring, so I no longer have to get 0% on his impossible tests 
- Eldste Wardle RAPS in Norwegian and it quite possibly is the funniest thing ever
- we are besties with the Danish Søsters and I JUST LOVE THEM!! because the languages are so similar we are able to talk to them and it is so fun!
- we ran into the new Polish District when we were on our "English Fast" and they thought that we were FROM NORWAY HAHA, brother Høgset would say other wise, but it gave us some confidence in our language skills
-brother Høgset's favorite thing to do is make up the most RIDICULOUS games with so many different rules and clauses and it is so entertaining. Elder Wardle and I were on a team and TOTALLY killed it in our favorite game "The Holy Ghost vs the Mute Natural Man"
- We had a fun FHE with all the Sisters in our Branch, and it was so fun getting to know them more 
- Brother Høgset informed us that there is something called "SNORSK" which means "sister Norwegian" apparently 99% of sister missionaries in Norway pick up weird habits and speak Norwegian in a weird way, so NEW FEAR UNLOCKED. my new goal is to be the 1% that does not speak "SNORSK", wish me luck

we only have 2 more weeks in the MTC!! Pray for our Visas! so far only 3 people have their Visas and the rest of us don't! 

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT!!
I love the concept of time. Time is a gift that we ALL have! No matter what challenges or triumphs we are going through in our life, we all have the amazing gift of time.  I have been really thinking about this concept and how I am using my time. Every second is a precious gift from God! are we going to use all our time to our advantage? or are we going to let it slip away?  I challenge you to use your time to draw closer to God, Our Savior Jesus Christ and the ones you love and care for! I am so thankful for this wonderful opportunity to serve a mission and use my TIME to draw closer to my Savior and serve others!

Hei Hei!! I am going to try and make more of an effort to send weekly emails again, but no promises. President called me last week to inform me that I am staying in Trondheim for another transfer!! WOOHOO! It was very unexpected, but I couldn't be happier. I love this city with my whole heart! Here are some highlights from the past 2 weeks - For pday a few weeks ago we went inside Nidarosdomen and it felt like I was in Hogwarts, unreal - Got a text from one of the YSA asking if me and Sister Twede could make him food for the ward potluck HAHA he paid for it all, and we ended up making my moms famous chili. He wanted to bring a dish to contribute, but hates cooking HAHA. W Joakim  - Got to go on splits with my bestie SISTER BARKER!!  - It feels like fall here in Trondheim! A Tribute To Trondheim; Søster Schneck Wk 65

Hello friends!!  This email is going to be dedicated to TRONDHEIM!! We got transfer news and I will be leaving good ol' trondheim to open ALTA for my last 2 transfers, which is the northernmost mission area in the world. Not exactly sure how I'm feeling right now, excited, scared, humbled, sad and grateful are just a few of the emotions. Trondheim, Norway has my heart. Being able to serve here for the past 5 months has been nothing short of a miracle in my life. I don't fully have the words to describe the impact this place has had on my mission and my life. The people I have met here and the memories I have made mean the world to me and I'm not sure if I am ready to say goodbye. Change has always been something I have had a really hard time with, yet I know it is inevitable, and necessary for growth. ALTA!! Søster Schneck Wk 66

Hey!! This week has been an adventure and full of so many tender mercies and my heart is so full! And... we made it to ALTA!!  Here are some highlights!  ☆ left a piece of my heart in Trondheim, and it definitely wasnt an easy goodbye, but I feel at peace with where I'm at right now and I know this is exactly where I need to be!  ☆ thursday I traveled all day and made it to Tromsø to meet my new companion, Sister Matthews!  ☆ we got stranded in tromsø for 2 days because we currently don't have a place to stay in Alta. we grinded it out there and worked our hardest to make it productive when we weren't in our area HAHA  ☆ Saturday we got a call from president telling us we are finally flying to Alta!! Yay! We took the tiniest 25 person plane and finally landed in our new home!  ☆ we have been living in a hotel for the past few days as we've waited for an apartment, but will be moving in tomorrow (best hotel breakfast EVER)  ☆ ive only been her...
