NORGE!! Søster Schneck Week 13

Your girl is FINALLY IN NORWAY!! WOOHOOO!! This has been such a good week! Im serving in Kristansand, which the most southern area in Norway, AND I LOVE IT!! i feel very spoiled to be in such a beautiful place right by the water!! It feels SO good to finally be here and I know this is exactly where I am supposed to be!! 


HIGHLIGHTS
☆ My last day in Wisco was SO GOOD! We had the most productive day and met so many people and taught so many lessons!! Cant wait to see what happens in Marshfield!! 
☆ President and Sister Hansen took me and Sister Chen out to breakfast before dropping us off at the airport! they are the BEST!! Going to miss them so much! 
☆ got to travel with SISTER CHEN to Atlanta!! she is the cutest ever and is going to do amazing things in spain!! 
☆ flew to Amsterdam BY MY SELF!! A little stressful but we made it!!
☆ met up with Elder Adams and it was SO NICE to see a familiar face and catch up with him for a while!
☆ met up with the 3 other Elders and all flew to NORWAY!!
☆ president and sister montague greeted us at the airport with norwegian flags!! i already love them!!
☆ had dinner at the Mission home and President turns to me and asks me to say the prayer på norsk HAHAH had to make a good first impression and he said my norwegian is GOOD!!! biggest compliment but he could have just been being nice HAHA
☆ had sister montagues FAMOUS SALMON!! so good!!
☆ stayed the night at the STLs apartment in Oslo and had the best sleep ever
☆ made Norwegian waffles at the Mission office with the STLs
☆ elder kasteller is also new a new missionary in Norway and we both got asssigned to serve in KRISTANSAND!!  we had to take a 5 hour train ride from Oslo to Kristandsand and you can tell we had NO IDEA what we were doing
☆ my comp is the CUTEST EVER!! she is from denmark and is fluent in norwegian HUGE BLESSING!! we go on runs every morning and it is so FUN! 
☆ elder kasteller and I made a deal that we would both bear our testimonies on sunday, but then the branch president COLD CALLS US  so i was the first person to bear my testimony and felt pretty good about it, but then Kasteller gets up and is CRACKED at norwegian and made me look like a goon 
☆ there is a thick dialect here and it sounds like a mix of german, danish, french and norwegian AHA PRAY FOR ME 
☆ everyone in the branch is SO NICE!! got so many hugs
☆ we have a VAMPIRE in our branch and she is the sweetest person ever 
☆ member meal with the Bjørnstads and they are the COOLEST people ever!! They gave us house slippers, specially fitted to our feet so our feet so they wouldnt get cold 
☆ we had a lesson with our friend Eva and she is SO SWEET!! she helped me with my Norsk and I actually contributed to the lesson!! 
☆ its TOUGH to understand but even after being here for 2 days I feel like I am starting to understand more and more
☆ we had a YSA game night at the Schrams house and it was so fun!! 


Moral of the story is, I LOVE NORWAY AND IT IS THE COOLEST PLACE EVER!! 


SPIRITUAL THOUGHT!!
i just want to let you know that God knows you!  That has been so prominent to me while Ive been on my mission. God truly knows each and every one of us individually and perfectly!! If you get a chance read the talk "God Knows You and Loves You" by Alan T Phillips 
SO GOOD!!

Hei Hei!! I am going to try and make more of an effort to send weekly emails again, but no promises. President called me last week to inform me that I am staying in Trondheim for another transfer!! WOOHOO! It was very unexpected, but I couldn't be happier. I love this city with my whole heart! Here are some highlights from the past 2 weeks - For pday a few weeks ago we went inside Nidarosdomen and it felt like I was in Hogwarts, unreal - Got a text from one of the YSA asking if me and Sister Twede could make him food for the ward potluck HAHA he paid for it all, and we ended up making my moms famous chili. He wanted to bring a dish to contribute, but hates cooking HAHA. W Joakim  - Got to go on splits with my bestie SISTER BARKER!!  - It feels like fall here in Trondheim! The leaves are starting to change colors and its getting pretty cold  - Aksel ( a 19 yr old YSA who recently got baptized) is going to be baptizing our cute 8 year old friend in a few weeks, so he joined...

A Tribute To Trondheim; Søster Schneck Wk 65

Hello friends!!  This email is going to be dedicated to TRONDHEIM!! We got transfer news and I will be leaving good ol' trondheim to open ALTA for my last 2 transfers, which is the northernmost mission area in the world. Not exactly sure how I'm feeling right now, excited, scared, humbled, sad and grateful are just a few of the emotions. Trondheim, Norway has my heart. Being able to serve here for the past 5 months has been nothing short of a miracle in my life. I don't fully have the words to describe the impact this place has had on my mission and my life. The people I have met here and the memories I have made mean the world to me and I'm not sure if I am ready to say goodbye. Change has always been something I have had a really hard time with, yet I know it is inevitable, and necessary for growth. ALTA!! Søster Schneck Wk 66

Hey!! This week has been an adventure and full of so many tender mercies and my heart is so full! And... we made it to ALTA!!  Here are some highlights!  ☆ left a piece of my heart in Trondheim, and it definitely wasnt an easy goodbye, but I feel at peace with where I'm at right now and I know this is exactly where I need to be!  ☆ thursday I traveled all day and made it to Tromsø to meet my new companion, Sister Matthews!  ☆ we got stranded in tromsø for 2 days because we currently don't have a place to stay in Alta. we grinded it out there and worked our hardest to make it productive when we weren't in our area HAHA  ☆ Saturday we got a call from president telling us we are finally flying to Alta!! Yay! We took the tiniest 25 person plane and finally landed in our new home!  ☆ we have been living in a hotel for the past few days as we've waited for an apartment, but will be moving in tomorrow (best hotel breakfast EVER)  ☆ ive only been her...
