Fake It Till You Make It: Søster Schneck Week 17

Lol, i realized i forgot to push send, but...

Hello wonderful people!!!
I have almost hit 4 MONTHS as a missionary HUH?! Feels like forever but also no time at all HAHAH
This week was such a good week in Kristansand, but also so hard. Its a constant grind, but the work is progressing and not one minute can be wasted! This week your girl has LIVED the phrase "fake it till you make it" and so far its been a big success. More on that later, but here are your favorite....

weekly highlights
☆ first off, last p day was halloween, so naturally we spent the day with the Vampire in our Branch. Halloween also happens to be her birthday. Coincidence?! I think NOT. but we partied with her and her husband and it was so fun! Her husband is a professional chef and made us Chrsitmas dinner HAHAH never a dull moment. Moral of the story, go find your local vampire because they are the BEST
☆ ITS OFFICIALLY CHRISTMAS EVERYWHERE HERE. Every pole? CHRISTMAS TREE. Every light post? CHRISTMAS TREE. every door way? CHRISTMAS TREE. Ive never seen more christmas trees in my life. But I LOVE IT! makes me so happy
☆ we had 8 dudes from Turkey come to our language cafe!! So cool! They all have the coolest stories and such positive attitudes about their situations
☆ the sun sets here at 4pm!! So insane!
☆ ok story time. Innabandy... its like field hockey but with a ball and way more dysfunctional. Never heard of it ever, But its HUGE in Scandinavia. Our mission president is super big on using our talents to try and find people to teach and just build relationships with people in the area. So sister Kristensen is CRACKED at innabandy, like she was on the national team in Denmark. Sooo this is her talent, and she found a group to play with. We pull up to this gym and its a full on a team practice. Picture uniforms, coaches, the whole thing.  and the coaches are like " WELCOME! come join us!" Theroretically everything is perfect, however YOUR GIRL HAS NO IDEA WHAT SHE IS DOING. But we dont give up around here so when they start scrimmaging, you already know im out there trying to play this sport. But then all of a sudden I hear the coach go " siri kom hit!" Which means come here!  uh ohhhhh. So i run over to the coach and he proceeds to pull out his white board and explain the WHOLE game of innabandy to me IN NORWEGIAN. On the inside i am so confused and have no idea what is going on, but of course i cant show that. So I embraced "fake it till you make it" and acted like i understood every word that came out of his mouth. Lots of nodding and smiling. So after 15 minutes of the rules and regulations of innabandy i tell him im just going to watch so i can understand better. Just as i think i can have a second to process what just happened, he comes and sits next to me. The missionary inside of me couldnt just sit there, so i had to start a conversation. Gift of tongues is REAL, cause i had about a 30 minute convo with this dude and he didnt realize I was from the US until about half way through, he goes " are you a language wizard?!" I told him its all God. GOD IS GOOD. But anyways, he recruited me to come play on the team and he wants to make me the "best innabandy player in kristansand" so dont be surpirsed if im a famous innabandy player one day HAHA
☆ we are teaching 9 people right now and they are all the best people ever!! Its so cool because they have all become friends because of the chruch! SO COOL
☆ Our friend Eivand told us he wants to move to Utah one day so he can be close to all the members of the chruch. He is also the most patriotic person ive ever met. He loves America more than most americans i know HAHAH so bizarre
☆we are helping our friend Sissel renovate her house, so we are now experts at builidng IKEA furniture and painting. You neesd help? We are the girls for the job
☆ we had 5 of our friends at church on Sunday!! and our friend Eva even bore her testimony!! AMAZING
☆ i am convinced we have the most amazing friends, they come to every activity and its so cool to see their testimonies of Jesus Christ grow
☆ our friend jayden thought I was from Norway HAHAHA gift of tongues kicking in fr

Spirtual thought!!
This past month I have been studying the Harmony of the Gospels and been focusing on the differnt stories of Jesus. And WOW! THEY ARE SO AMAZING! something that has really struck me is how Jesus healed and blessed  people EVERYWHERE. No matter who they were, what they did or what their ailment was, He loved and healed them. A lot of these miracles were not recorded but kept personal and cherished by those that were impacted by Christ. It just shows that CHRIST IS A PERSONAL SAVIOR. He knows YOU personaly. Just as He healed and blessed the people that crossed His path, He will bless and heal you.
No matter the height of the mountain or depth of the valley that we have to face in this life, remember, that we have a loving Savior that already climbed our highest peaks. Swam through the toughest waters. Suffered every single one of our pains, afflictions and heart aches. When others let us down, our Savior, Jesus Christ is there. Waiting with His arms outstretched. We just have to hold on. Trust in HIM!Trust in His infinte love, grace and mercy.
He is always there, supporting and loving you every step of the way. Never forget you are "encircled about eternally in the arms of His love" 2 Nephi 1:15
Jesus will ALWAYS love you.

I LOVE YOU ALL AND SO DOES JESUS!!
