Wait, Can You Have 4 Wives?! Søster Schneck Week 21

Hello friends and family!! I hope you all had the BEST week ever!! This week up in the North has been SO GOOD! Feeling blessed everyday that I get to serve in such a beautiful place with the best people! i LOVE norway! 

weekly highlights

☆ we went to Stavanger for splits! Long but pretty drive

☆ while on spilts, we taught a lesson to this lady from France, but she has lived in Norway for a while and speaks Norwegian. If you didnt know, i took 4 years of french so im practically a professional HAHAH JK but i tried with EVERYTHING in me to try and remember anything i learned in those 4 years, so I could talk to her in french but my brain had absolutly NOTHING. so traggic, but we could speak norwegian so it was fine 

☆ we foind some other missionaries for a christian chruch from Madagascar! So cool and they were so nice

☆ we set a goal to give out one Book of Mormon while knocking doors and WE DID IT! Tender mercy 

☆ sister Kristensen and I were in Sentrum and saw a huge group if people entering the cathedral so we thiught ut woukd be a great opportunuty to go and find people! We sut down and the chapel us FULL so we ask the dude next to hs what is going on and he was SO CONFUSED. He proceeded to tell us that this was a huge concert by this famous Norwegian dude and it cost 500 NOK which is like $50 to attend but somehow we walked in no problem lol, but at this point we were trapped and could not escape so we sat through the whole concert, but it was some of the most beautiful music EVER, so im not complaining HAHAH and saw a famous norsk dude️

☆ we had a lesson with Yazan and he asked us if he joined our chruch if he could have 4 wives, WOAHH neiii HAHA he was okay with it tho and said he believed the Book of Mormon so that was AMAZING 

☆ we made sugar cookies with the ysa!! So fun!

☆ i tried pinnekjøtt for the first time, which is a traditional norwegian christmas meat. Interesting to say the least but not terrible haha 

☆ we went to KRIK, which is a christian young adult group, think like BYU YSA vibes, but in norway HAHAH super fun way to find people. I met a girl who had actually been to Utah and went to a church there

☆ SO MUCH SNOW!!

☆ talked to a lady from denmark and she like my "norsk name" Siri, but said she could tell i was from the US, that one stung a little HAHAH 

☆ Yazan said he wants me to teach him how to speak like an American 

☆ still playing piano for the primary program, its on sunday, wish us luck

☆ went on a beautiful winter hike today but between us 4 missionaries, we slipped on the ice over 50x HAHAH i have never laughed harder 

Overall a great week!! Loving the work and LOVE being a missionary!! 

Spirtual thought!! 

This week while teaching Yazan he asked us why Nephi had to kill Laban. TOUGH QUESTION. luckily we discussed this in my religion class at BYU.. thanks professor swift

But after explaing eveything to him I showd him 1 Nephi 11:17 which reads "I know that He loveth his children, nevertheless, i do not know the meaning of all things"

I LOVE THIS SCRIPTURE SO MUCH!! it is so comforting to know that Gods love is all encompassing and suffeicent. We dont need to know eveything and arent expected to! We all have questions and thats okay, but the most inportnst answer to eveything is to know that we have a Heavenly Father and Savior who love us unconditionally.
