Embrace The Change! Søster Schneck Weeks 24&25

HEY! 


sorry its been a minute!! Last week was CRAZY and I had no time to write an email! But I hope you all had the most amazing Christmas and New Years!! Celebrating here in Norway was AMAZING and something I will never forget. 


Here are some hilights of my last 2 weeks!! 
☆ our friend Eva invited us, the elders and the Schrams to a Christmas dinner!! We enjoyed traditional Norwegian open faced sandwitches with a vairity of toppings. Some better than others HAHA but so fun!! 
☆ had a BOMB lesson with our friend Ruth!! And we gave her a book of mormon! 
☆ we celebrated christmas with the Schrams!! Sister Schram had to take her driving test, so I was put incharge of making christmas dinner HAHA but it was so fun!! 
☆ Sister schram made us custom stockings with our names on them, and she even made mine green when eveyone elses was red becasue she knew that green is my favorite color,  I LOVE THE SCHRAMS
☆ i just feel so blessed to be surrounded my ao many amazing people
☆ got transfer news and Sister Kristensen is going to Drammen!! And i am staying in Kristansand with Sister Lindley!! 
☆ the fire alarm went off in our apartment, and we didnt know what to do, so we just stayed in our apartment, good thing it was a flase alarm#adulting 
☆ i cut sister kristensens hair HAHA
☆ in Norway there are 4 days of christmas, but the main christmas celebration is on the 24th! So it was so cool that it was on sunday!! 
☆ i had to play the piano for the whole christmas program and it was so fun!! Had to do an impromtu solo HAHA but we survived 
☆ we went to the Latter-Day Vampires house for Christmas Dinner!! They are literally my favorite people ever!! Her husband is a professional chef and made the most delish food ever! 
☆ tried duck for the first time 
☆ obviously when you spend christmas with a vampire, its not going to be tradiotnal HAHA so instead of traditional night before Christmas vibes, we read "Candy Claws" which is about a bat that delivers candy to kids on christmas lol
☆ she has a whole "flaggerville" which is a bat village for christmas
☆ she also has a coffin in her garage
☆ her and her husband gave all of us SO many gifts, the members here are amazing, i feel SO blessed! 
☆ i dont think ive ever played more board games then I have on my mission 
☆ last Pday we spent ALL DAY with the Torjesens! They are my absolute favorite family ever!  we sang and danced around the Christmas tree, ate yummy food, played games and it was SO FUN and so memorable
☆ played "Secret Hitler" with a german 
☆ SOO somehow me and Sister Kristensen read transfer board WRONG and drove 5 hours to Drammen to drop her off on the WRONG DAY. I HAVE NEVER LAUGHED HARDER IN MY LIFE. So we turned around and drove 5 hours back. #nobody'sperfect 
☆ We ACTUALLY dropped her off on Friday and it was such a sad goodbye, will forever love sista K
☆ got to take a 5 hour train ride from Oslo back to Kristandsand BY MYSELF. i havnt been by myself for that long in 6 months. 
☆ got my new comp sister Lindley!! She goes home this transfer, so we only have 6 weeks together, but she is the BEST! she is such a hard working missionary and I have already learned so much! 
☆new years eve we were supposed to go to a memebrs house but the weather is INSANE so we had to stay in our apartment! We made waffles and just talked and it was so fun
☆ it has not stopped snowing for the last 48 hours and there is probably 3 feet of snow on the  ground right now 
☆ since the weather is crazy, we havnt been driving anywhere, just walking, and we've had such cool opportunities to help people
☆ some dudes little Fiat was stuck in the snow, so we tried pushing him out wuth no success, BUT we got his number and he wants to to come to chruch WOOHOO! 
☆ we started talking to this tourist from England, and he was looking for a store to buy a phone charger because he lost his and he had to catch a ferry home. Unfortunately NOTHING was open, so we decided to take the 20 minute walk home in the crazy snowstorm to get him a charger. And while he charged his phone, we taught Him all about the book of Mormon and our chruch!! SO COOL! Wills a real one 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼😎

Spiritual thought!!
Since its the start of a new year, I have thought alot about what i want to focus on this year and the phrase that kept coming to mind was "embrace the change" 


So thats my new moto for the year! Change has always been hard for me to accept. But as I have looked at my life in retrospect I have realized that change is beautiful and leads to a more joy filled life! Change is necessary for growth, so no matter how hard or scary it is, it is ESSENTIAL!! so this year I really want to embrace the change in my life. And do it with the support and help of my Savior. And I hope you can all do the same!!

Hei Hei!! I am going to try and make more of an effort to send weekly emails again, but no promises. President called me last week to inform me that I am staying in Trondheim for another transfer!! WOOHOO! It was very unexpected, but I couldn't be happier. I love this city with my whole heart! Here are some highlights from the past 2 weeks - For pday a few weeks ago we went inside Nidarosdomen and it felt like I was in Hogwarts, unreal - Got a text from one of the YSA asking if me and Sister Twede could make him food for the ward potluck HAHA he paid for it all, and we ended up making my moms famous chili. He wanted to bring a dish to contribute, but hates cooking HAHA. W Joakim  - Got to go on splits with my bestie SISTER BARKER!!  - It feels like fall here in Trondheim! A Tribute To Trondheim; Søster Schneck Wk 65

Hello friends!!  This email is going to be dedicated to TRONDHEIM!! We got transfer news and I will be leaving good ol' trondheim to open ALTA for my last 2 transfers, which is the northernmost mission area in the world. Not exactly sure how I'm feeling right now, excited, scared, humbled, sad and grateful are just a few of the emotions. Trondheim, Norway has my heart. Being able to serve here for the past 5 months has been nothing short of a miracle in my life. I don't fully have the words to describe the impact this place has had on my mission and my life. The people I have met here and the memories I have made mean the world to me and I'm not sure if I am ready to say goodbye. Change has always been something I have had a really hard time with, yet I know it is inevitable, and necessary for growth. ALTA!! Søster Schneck Wk 66

Hey!! This week has been an adventure and full of so many tender mercies and my heart is so full! And... we made it to ALTA!!  Here are some highlights!  ☆ left a piece of my heart in Trondheim, and it definitely wasnt an easy goodbye, but I feel at peace with where I'm at right now and I know this is exactly where I need to be!  ☆ thursday I traveled all day and made it to Tromsø to meet my new companion, Sister Matthews!  ☆ we got stranded in tromsø for 2 days because we currently don't have a place to stay in Alta. we grinded it out there and worked our hardest to make it productive when we weren't in our area HAHA  ☆ Saturday we got a call from president telling us we are finally flying to Alta!! Yay! We took the tiniest 25 person plane and finally landed in our new home!  ☆ we have been living in a hotel for the past few days as we've waited for an apartment, but will be moving in tomorrow (best hotel breakfast EVER)  ☆ ive only been her...
