FULL CIRCLE MOMENT Søster Schneck Week 31

Heisann!! 

Hope you all had the BEST week ever!! This week was CRAZY but really good. There has been so much change, but it truly has been the biggest blessing! EMBRACE THE CHANGE!! I set that as my motto for 2024 and I am so happy I can focus on that. Change isnt the easiest for me, but i can always look back retrospectively and see how much growth has come from the change. 

️weekly highlights

☆ Søster Lindley and I took a 5 hour train ride from Kristansand to Oslo! I have taken this train ride SO many times, but its always so beautiful, so I'm not complaining.

☆ on the train we sat across from this 19 year old dude and we started talking him and ended up teaching him ALL 4 LESSONS on that 5 hour train ride HAHA he was soo interested and thought it was the coolest thing 

☆ this same dude ended up telling us a little about the graduation culture in Norway and it is INSANE. LITERALLY INSANE, it puts the U.S graduation traditions to shame. All the kids who are graduating from their equivalent of highschool, save up all their money and rent these giant party busses and EVERY NIGHT in the month of May they drive around the forests of Norway on these party busses and just party. Kind of crazy lol. And there are all these rules and regulations that you cant break or you will be shunned from your class HAHAH

☆ had to say bye to sister Lindley and it was SO sad. Seriously so grateful for her! 

☆ i got to be a missionary in the big city of Oslo for the week!! SO fun!! Compared to Kristandsand, Oslo is HUGE. I swear I've never seen that many people in my life. 

☆ Wednesday was transfer day, so the whole day we had to drive and pick up missionaries from the train and airport and I got to see all my besties! So fun! 

☆ I GOT TO SEE SØSTER KRISTIENSEN!! Reunion of a life time. LOVE HER SO MUCH! 

☆ i have finally seen every member of my MTC district!

☆ oslo is sooo sick because there is a "center" in the middle of the city that the church owns and they hold all thees cool activities and its a great way for the missionaries to meet people! So this week we had språkkafe there and 50 people came! INSANE! and then on friday we had a "movie night" where we watched the Chosen! SO GOOD

☆got to have some meetings with President Montague! So grateful for him and his sweet wife. 

☆ got hit on by a 15 year old boy, asking if I wanted to be his girlfriend 

☆ i finished the book of Mormon in english and norwegian this week!! BEST BOOK EVAAA

☆ COOL STORY okay, so when I first got to norway i got a random text from this lady asking if i was "matt schnecks daughter, serving a mission in Norway" haha so i respond and say yes and she proceedes to tell me that her and my dad were good friends and if i was ever in Oslo, I should come visit. So i tell my dad who it was and it turns out that my dad BAPTIZED her while he was on his mission here!! SO COOL!! but I honestly forget about all of this because she texted me in October. But randomly while in Oslo this past week I remembered, so i reached out to her and I was able to meet her and have lunch with her!! COOLEST FULL CIRCLE MOMENT EVER!! she is no longer active in the church, but is the nicest lady ever!! I feel so blessed that i can share all these cool experiences with my dad! 

☆ elder osbourn, who is a senior missionsry here, found out that we both attended Rock Canyon Elementary school HAHAH so now he tells EVERYONE and we are besties 

☆on Saturday i FINALLY picked up my new comp! She is super nice and I am excited to get to know her more! Apparently she does karate, so watch out 

☆ dude its SO stressful being the only one that knows how to do anything HAHA so stressed im going to forget something but the Lord is good and i can definitely feel Him helping me

☆ got hit on by some dude from Ukraine yesterday. He asked if he could take me on a walk and read to me in English HAHAH had to politely decline, but since he liked reading offered him a Book of Mormon instead

☆ long, stressful week but GOOD! 

☆ on Saturday we almost missed our train back to Ksand. Our train ledt at 3.24 and NO JOKE we pulled up to the station at 3.20. WE WERE HAULING THROUGH THE TRAIN STATION, literally never ran faster   but great way to start off my training and welcome my trainee to norway, she probably thinks im crazy 

☆ we are flying to Bergen rn and I started talking to the guy next to me ans he thought I was from Sweeden

spiritual thought!

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10

THIS SCRIPTURE HAS CARRIED ME THIS WEEK!! Life can get soo stressful and you can feel so inadequate at times, but the Lord truly is with us EVERY STEP OF THE WAY!! He will never leave us comfortless. He gives us strength and He does it because He loves us! NEVER FORGET THAT!!
