Up North And 1 Year!! Søster Schneck Week 52

Heiaa!! Wow, what an amazing week!! Cant believe ive been a missionary for ONE year! Where does the time go?? I wish I could just stop the time, my mission means everything to me and I cant wait for the next 6 months! Here are some highlights from this week!!  


☆ we had an amazing combined lesson with our friend Anna, the elders friend and a recent convert! We were able to introduce them to the Book of Mormon! 

☆ on Wednesday we woke up at 5am to fly to Bodø to take splits! We took the tiniest plane and it was like a bus, stopping at differnt airports to let people off and pick up new people. It was crazy!! 

☆ took splits all day Wednesday with cute sister washburn!! She went to BYU and we have some mutual friends, so its so fun reminiscing about BYU with her! 

☆ on thursday we were up at 6am to fly to Tromsø to take splits up there! I went on splits with sister matthews again!! We love talking about our dream of moving to africa and traveling! She is so cool! We did some great work up north!

☆ the sisters gave us eye masks because of the midnight sun! 

☆ we got up at 4am on friday to fly home and the sun was shining like it was 12 in the afternoon! But we made it home safe and sound! 

☆ we are teaching the cutest family right now and their kids are SO CUTE!! 

☆ had our hiking group on Saturday, and because of the rain no one came but one girl and so we just chatted it up with her and she came to church on sunday!!!

☆ on Saturday we had a little accident and sister barkers phone is now demolished, its been sending random messages and recordings to people HAHAH so funny 

☆ we had an amazing lesson with our friend Danguole! She is the coolest person Ive ever met! She loves jesus!

☆ we had 6 friends in church on sunday! God is so good! 

☆ I got recruited to play the organ in sacrament meeting, so i taught myself how to play and its SO FUN!! 


Such a good week! Feel so blessed!! 


One of my favorite musicals is LES MIS! ugh its soo good, and me and sister barker have been listening to it nonstop. Every time I listen to it, I feel the spirit so strongly. A line from the last song has really hit me this week and made me think alot. It says,

"To love another person is to see the face of God" 


Ive thought alot about this and what it really means and its so powerful. Jesus' biggest teaching was to love God and love eachother. As we love those around us with the true, deep love of Christ, we are able to see them as God does. Its a full circle experience too because as we love others as God does, we feel more deeply of His love for us and come to see Him through others, as well as helping the others feel seen and loved. 


I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to love others and truly see the face of God this past year. It has changed me in the best ways possible.

Hei Hei!! I am going to try and make more of an effort to send weekly emails again, but no promises. President called me last week to inform me that I am staying in Trondheim for another transfer!! WOOHOO! It was very unexpected, but I couldn't be happier. I love this city with my whole heart! Here are some highlights from the past 2 weeks - For pday a few weeks ago we went inside Nidarosdomen and it felt like I was in Hogwarts, unreal - Got a text from one of the YSA asking if me and Sister Twede could make him food for the ward potluck HAHA he paid for it all, and we ended up making my moms famous chili. He wanted to bring a dish to contribute, but hates cooking HAHA. W Joakim  - Got to go on splits with my bestie SISTER BARKER!!  - It feels like fall here in Trondheim! A Tribute To Trondheim; Søster Schneck Wk 65

Hello friends!!  This email is going to be dedicated to TRONDHEIM!! We got transfer news and I will be leaving good ol' trondheim to open ALTA for my last 2 transfers, which is the northernmost mission area in the world. Not exactly sure how I'm feeling right now, excited, scared, humbled, sad and grateful are just a few of the emotions. Trondheim, Norway has my heart. Being able to serve here for the past 5 months has been nothing short of a miracle in my life. I don't fully have the words to describe the impact this place has had on my mission and my life. The people I have met here and the memories I have made mean the world to me and I'm not sure if I am ready to say goodbye. Change has always been something I have had a really hard time with, yet I know it is inevitable, and necessary for growth. ALTA!! Søster Schneck Wk 66

Hey!! This week has been an adventure and full of so many tender mercies and my heart is so full! And... we made it to ALTA!!  Here are some highlights!  ☆ left a piece of my heart in Trondheim, and it definitely wasnt an easy goodbye, but I feel at peace with where I'm at right now and I know this is exactly where I need to be!  ☆ thursday I traveled all day and made it to Tromsø to meet my new companion, Sister Matthews!  ☆ we got stranded in tromsø for 2 days because we currently don't have a place to stay in Alta. we grinded it out there and worked our hardest to make it productive when we weren't in our area HAHA  ☆ Saturday we got a call from president telling us we are finally flying to Alta!! Yay! We took the tiniest 25 person plane and finally landed in our new home!  ☆ we have been living in a hotel for the past few days as we've waited for an apartment, but will be moving in tomorrow (best hotel breakfast EVER)  ☆ ive only been her...
