hello everyone!!  Another week has come and gone here in Marshfield and it was SO GOOD!!  So many miracles and I can see the hand of the Lord in  so many aspects of my life. Without further adieu, here are your favorite.... WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS: • we have been told that Marshfield is the OZ of wisconsin and i can totally see why. People here are SO nice and it feels like we are in a little bubble of farm land and forests. • bishop Kim took our district out to dinner and we bonded over the fact that we both lived in Helaman Halls #djduo, i had to inform him that Chipman hall was now a womens dorm and he was very disappointed • we have some forest friends living in our walls and they LOVE keeping us up at night  • some guy we were teaching asked us if my companion and I were over 21 to see if he could ask us some "mature" questions, he also asked us "what is your favorite sin" we informed him we only answer questions about Jesus Christ  • FALL HERE IS SO BEAUTIF...

Miracles In Marshfield! Søster Schneck Week 10

Image
Hello, hello!  This week was the longest week ever but SO good and full of so many miracles!! I finally feel like Sister Dozier and I are getting a handle on Marshfield. The first few weeks were so hard because there haven't been missioanries in the area for a long time, so we had to start at ground zero. But we truly have seen the hand of the Lord in our work in every aspect. Our days are so packed and sometimes we take a step back and realize that God truly is in the details and in reality, none of this would be Possible without Him! Weekly highlights! - we started teaching the cutest 18 year old girl named Katlund. She didnt grow up Christian, but sge is absorbing everything we teach her and already has such a love for Jesus Christ and His gospel. We were able to invite her to be baptized, and she said YES! Its so amazing to see how the light of Christ can truly change someones life.  - apparently sasquatch is a BIG deal around here  - Wednesday we were able to teach 7...

hello!! Another week has come and gone here in Marshfield, but we are seeing SO many miracles! This week was packed with lessons, calls and service!  Highlights: - i hit 2 months as a missionary!!  - someone asked if we were nuns. Super slay - went on exchanges with our Sister Training Leaders in Wasau and it was AMAZING! we taught these two guys about the Book of Mormon and just had a normal and natural conversation about the gospel IT WAS SO COOL!  - we gave out 99 copies of the Book of Mormon in 5 days for Presdient Nelsons Birthday!   - we got offered beer by some construction dudes, obviously we are too cool for that    - we had to clarify to someone that in fact memebers DO NOT all live together in the chruch building and that we are all pretty normal people - our freind Mark asked us if we enjoy doing anything that doesnt relate to God. WHY WOULD WE WANT TO DO ANYTHING DIFFERENT?!  - had the most bizarre lesson with Harold, sometimes i wond...

Fall, Frogs And Miracles! Søster Schneck Week 8!

hei hei!!  Wow, this week was full of so many ups and downs, but overall SO good!  Marshfield is starting to grow on me. It is quite literally in the middle of nowhere, but the people are so kind and it is beautiful! Most people here are very religious, and have a firm belief. There is a different chruch on every street! Right now we are teaching a Lutheran, a Jehovah's Witness, and so many good people who love God.  We are really trying to build a firm foundation here in Marshfield, so we are getting really close with the ward and I am convinced it is the BEST ward ever. We have a meal almost everyday and the members have really taken us under their wings. It's even more amazing because our ward boundaries expand 2 hours in all directions, so many of these people drive 4 hours round trip to get to chruch and worship, HOW AMAZING IS THAT?! They will always hold a special place in my heart!  ALSO SOME BIG NEWS!! MY VISA CAME! WOOHOOO!! I'm still not sure how much long...

Good Ol' Marshfield; Søster Schneck Week 7

Hello!!  This week has been absolutely insane, but I made it to Wisonsin!! Woohoo! Saying goodbye to the mtc and my time there was a lot harder than I expected, but I will forever be grateful for the amazing experience I had!  I flew out to Wisconsin at 4am on Thrusday. My AMAZING district woke up at 3:30am to say bye to me! shout out to the BEST DISTRICT EVER!! Love you so much!!  Our little travel group of missionaries went from local celebrities in SLC to quite the opposite in the span of a few hours. Definitely an interesting experience to be judged by people who don't even know who you are, but we just keep pushing through! Here is my favorite quote from the week.  "We can wish you the best of luck in life, but not on your mission, we wish you failure"   ...thanks randy my new companion, sister doizer and I are reopening an area here in Wisconsin called Marshfield! Marshfield is so pretty!! We are kind of in the middle of no where, but are surrounded b...

Last Day In MTC! Søster Schneck Week 6

Image
hei hei!!  today is my LAST day at the MTC!! How insane is that?!  I am so excited and anxious to get out into the field and start, but am so sad to leave the MTC. My time here has allowed me to grow in so many ways, but especially grow closer to my Savior Jesus Christ, and I will forever be grateful for that! It will be so sad to leave my little Norwegian Family for a while, but I can't wait for the day where we all see each other in NORWAY!!  This week has been so good, but honestly such a blur. We have been speaking Norwegian NONSTOP for the past 7 days and it has been so fun but also so exhausting. My Norwegian skills are definitely improving, but I still have a LONG way to go. This week we have been working so hard, but apparently not hard enough because Brother Høgset put us in "TIMEOUT" TWO times this week! I am 19 years old and do not need a 23 year old putting me in time out, it was very humbling to say the least. Here are some last words of wisdom from Brother H...
